External voluntary commitments undertaken by Klabin: 

Sustainable Development Goals (UN) - They constitute a global development agenda with 17 goals and 169 targets established by the United Nations (UN) for governments, civil society and the private sector.

UN Women's Empowerment Principles - To reinforce the commitment to diversity and promote an inclusive environment, in 2018 Klabin adhered to the seven Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPS). The United Nations Gender Equality Organization (UN Women) initiative guides companies in the empowerment of women within the organization, the value chain and in communities.

Business Movement for Integrity and Transparency - Created by the Ethos Institute, the Movement aims to define strategies and priorities for the engagement of business leaders in the integrity agenda, with a special focus on improving public-private relations and strengthening prevention and combat to corruption in Brazil.

FGV Center for Sustainability Studies - With the mission of transforming sustainability challenges into value creation opportunities, we participate in the challenges of the FGVces Business Initiatives, which bring together the agendas of the Empresas pelo Clima (EPC) Platform and the Local Development and Large Enterprises Initiative (IDLocal), among others. Our participation since 2009 has been aimed at articulating climate management with business leaders. Klabin's participation in IDLocal since 2013 has as its purpose the exchange of experience and the construction of guidelines for local development.

National Pact for the Eradication of Slave Labor - It brings together Brazilian and multinational companies that have assumed the commitment not to negotiate with those who exploit slave labor. In addition to economically restricting employers who commit this crime, the Pact provides for the promotion of decent work, the social integration of workers in vulnerable situations and the fight against grooming. Companies that are signatories to the initiative participate in the Pact's monitoring process and are committed to making public the results of their efforts to ban slave labor.

Business Pact for Integrity and Against Corruption - According to the Ethos Institute, companies, by becoming signatories of the pact, undertake to disclose Brazilian anti-corruption legislation to their employees and stakeholders, so that it is fully complied with. In addition, they commit to prohibit any form of bribery, work for the legality and transparency of contributions to political campaigns and strive for transparency of information and collaboration in investigations, when necessary.

Science Based Targets Initiative - An initiative that establishes methodologies to help companies design an emission reduction target in line with climate science and sustainable economic development. Klabin was the first company in the pulp and paper sector in Latin America to have its goals approved by the SBTi.

Business Ambition for 1.5°C – Only Future - In 2019, we joined the UN global campaign Business Ambition for 1.5°C – OUR ONLY FUTURE. With this, we are committed to reducing GHG emissions, helping to contain the increase in the planet's temperature by 1.5º C.

TCFD – Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosure supporter – Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures, an initiative that provides recommendations to enable markets and address the financial impact of climate change, increasing transparency about risks related to climate change. climate and opportunities to promote better-informed financial decision-making.

Race to Zero - For years, Klabin has been treading a path in the fight against Climate Change. The company, which has sustainability as a pillar of its management, is aware of the urgency of the issue and the importance of mobilizing everyone to guarantee the future of our planet. Together with the United Nations Global Compact Brazil Network, the Company invites companies and society to support the cause of reducing greenhouse gas emissions based on science.

Forum of Companies and LGBTI+ Rights - Klabin signed the Forum of Companies and LGBTI+ Rights, which prepared the 10 commitments to guarantee the respect and promotion of LGBTI+ human rights within the Companies. The Forum has working groups divided by themes (leadership, health, communication and others) that meet periodically to discuss how to move forward in relation to each of the commitments.

UN GLOBAL COMPACT - United Nations (UN) initiative to engage companies and organizations in the adoption of 10 universal principles in the areas of Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-Corruption Measures, in order to develop actions to face the challenges of society.
