KLABIN IN THE COMMUNITY
Klabin in the Community is a space that brings together all of Klabin's activities in communities beyond its operations. Its content shows the work of people who participate in projects and programs and who benefit from the company's actions and activities.
FRESH AND ORGANIC
The matas sociais program - planning sustainable properties is helping farmers to obtain or renew certification for organic food (grown without pesticides). The seal attracts consumers and enhances the value of products, which can be sold for a higher price. With the initiative, producers receive guidance, seedlings and a discount on the process. In santa catarina, the initiative began in 2020 and has already helped around 50 producers in correia pinto, lages, otacílio costa, palmeira and ponte alta.
TALK TO KLABIN
Klabin is committed to respecting communities. Before starting operations, a team visits the locality to get to know the residents, understand possible impacts, answer questions and publicize the contact channel with the Company. Throughout the operation, and even after the end of the activities, the dialog continues. The community approves of the good relationship!
GETTING PLANS OFF THE GROUND
The municipalities of Correia Pinto, Lages and Otacílio Costa are carrying out projects that will improve the lives of the population. Their managers are taking part in the Municipal Management Support Program, developed by Klabin in partnership with the Interação Urbana consultancy. The initiative offers free technical consultancy in the areas of administration, taxes, education, health, social assistance and infrastructure. KLABIN MAGAZINE IN THE COMMUNITY
A magazine that features Klabin's social and environmental programs conducted in partnership with public authorities, schools, NGOs, companies and individuals. In addition to recognizing the main actors behind these initiatives, without whom they would not be possible, they are actions that change the lives of communities.
