Jundiaí, April 27, 2016 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest paper producer and exporterand the leading manufacturer of paper and board for packaging, corrugated board packaging and industrial bags, held yesterday (26) the first edition of the “Klabin Logistics Excellence Award” at its Unit located in the Tijuco Preto district of Jundiaí, São Paulo. Created to award the best suppliers of 2015, the event recognized best practices and logistics quality of partner freight companies.

 

Designed and organized by Klabin’s corporate logistics area, the evaluation referred to 2015 and assessed the 30 freight companies that provide services to Klabin nationwide. The criteria had been established three years ago and were widely known by participants, and included on-time performance, complaint rate, losses and quality, among others. The sum of the criteria composed the overall evaluation, awarding the best in each business (Paper and Conversion) and the best of Klabin.

During the event, Klabin executives presented the work of the logistics area, explaining its challenges, opportunities and long-term partnerships, in addition to highlighting the company’s 117-year history. The awards were delivered by members of Klabin’s logistics area and participants also attended lectures on leadership and business development.
