São Paulo, August 25, 2015 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest paper producer and exporter, received two important recognitions from Valor 1000, the Valor Econômico yearbook that is now in its 15th edition. The Company was elected the Valor 2015 Company and is the champion in the Pulp and Paper industry in the Valor 1000.

The Valor yearbook ranks the one thousand largest companies in the country, awarding those with the best performance in 25 economic segments based on an evaluation of eight accounting and financial criteria. The champion of champions is chosen considering criteria such as corporate governance, social involvement and respect for consumers and the environment.

At the award ceremony, held yesterday in São Paulo (São Paulo), the chairman of the Board of Directors, Armando Klabin, together with the company’s CEO, Fabio Schvartsman, accepted the top award at an event attended by Central Bank President Alexandre Tombini and other officials and representatives of a range of sectors in the Brazilian economy.
