Klabin celebrates 120 years and launches institutional positioning
São Paulo, April 18, 2019 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper, completes 120 years of history tomorrow (April 19) and celebrates it by launching a new institutional positioning: “Transforming the future is our raw material.” The concept is inspired by the transformational power of the company and its commitment to shared value generation as a way of contributing to building a better future. The centerpiece of the positioning is the video manifesto that shows how the company, during the course of its trajectory became a specialist in transformation, highlighting the focus on sustainability.
The concept was translated into an institutional campaign that will feature ads in online and offline media, including some of Brazil’s leading newspapers, magazines and portals. The message and the new signature will be featured in the materials that will be used in the diverse actions, announcements and projects of the company throughout the year, together with a stamp to commemorate its 120 years.
To mark the date, Klabin also launches a more modern, intuitive website with new content, delivered in more comprehensive and illustrative sections. The website address, however, remains unchanged: www.klabin.com.br. The company will also upload a playlist to its channel on Spotify a recollection of the songs that marked the decades over the last 120 years. The songs will be available in the “klabin.sa” profile next week. These initiatives reinforce the company’s digital presence and bring it closer to its end consumers.
Klabin’s trajectory has several milestones that blend with the history of Brazil itself. To retrace the company’s memory, exhibitions will be held at the Ema Klabin foundations in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro and the Museu da Casa Brasileira in São Paulo. The company also plans a series of activities targeted at the communities in the regions where it operates, thus honoring its commitment to contributing to their social, cultural and environmental development.
The video manifesto is already available on the company’s YouTube channel: www.youtube.com/klabininstitucional
BioKlabin
Another important action to commemorate Klabin’s 120 years is the special edition of a cosmetics line (shampoo, conditioner, soap and moisturizer) – BioKlabin – which will be gifted to a few stakeholder groups of the company. The items were produced from raw materials cultivated at Klabin’s forests in the region of Telêmaco Borba, Paraná, and are part of a program maintained by the company for more than 30 years. The initiative is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC-C020628), which makes Klabin the world’s first company to obtain the certification for non-wood forest products.
