São Paulo, August 13, 2015 – Klabin’s Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer, Antonio Sergio Alfano, received the CFO of the Year award on Thursday (13) from the Latin Trade Group, which recognizes financial executives that perform outstanding roles in managing the finances of their companies each year.

This was true of Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper, which posted 16 consecutive quarters of improving results and will double production capacity in the coming year with the inauguration of its new plup plant in Ortigueira (Paraná).

Antonio Sergio Alfano has a bachelor’s in business administration and an MBA from Business School São Paulo.With 41 years of experience at Klabin, the executive has worked in Economic Studies, Sales, Marketing, Planning and Control.He has been a director at the company since 1985 and has acted as Chief Financial and Investor Relations Officer for eight years.“I am very proud to be part of this great company with a 116-year history that has a deep respect for nature and has always been concerned with the sustainable growth of its business,” said the executive.The award ceremony was held at the CFO Forum, which brought together 70 of Brazil’s leading CFOs at the Tivoli hotel, in São Paulo.
