Ortigueira, December 9, 2015 – Klabin, Brazil’s leading producer and exporter of packaging paper, in partnership with the city council of Ortigueira, supported celebrations of the city’s 63rd anniversary, which brought together important names in Brazilian country music. Festivities will be held at Centro de Tradições Gaúchas Tropeiros das Queimadas from December 10 to 14.

In addition to shows by Chico Rey & Paraná, Victor & Léo, Daniel and Fonte Luminosa, the four days of events will include a professional rodeo with the participation of two-time national champion Edevaldo Ferreira and the Ortigueirense Champion Ricardo Rosa. The rodeo will be narrated by Fagner Rangel and Marco Brasil.

Klabin will set up a booth in the main square that will present images of its new mill in the city and will receive résumés from those interested in working at the company. Furthermore, the Company will present to the public new developments for the coming year in its Forest Development Program, particularly benefits of the forestry and grazing system, which promotes integration of tree plantations with agriculture or grazing in the same area.

Festivities will coincide with the X Expo Fair for Honey, Products and Services. At the event, several local producers that are partners in Klabin’s Beekeeping Program will have the opportunity to exhibit their products. The partnership with the program works to promote the development of local communities – with activities providing alternative income -, the conscious use of biodiversity, natural preservation and control of bee migration.
