Paraná, March 29, 2021 – On March 27, Klabin donated nine respirators with integrated monitors to the municipalities of the 21^st Health Region. The initiative benefits the seven municipalities of this region, in Campos Gerais: Telêmaco Borba, Tibagi, Ortigueira, Imbaú, Ventania, Reserva and Curiúva.

The donation was intermediated by the Inter-Sector Committee on Combating COVID-19 (COMCOVID). In addition, last week, the Klabin Ecological Park, located in Telêmaco Borba, also donated approximately 450 medication units for hospital use to support the region’s public health sector. This action was made possible by the prioritization of procedures conducted by the park, which also works under a special regime to continue serving the needs of its fauna and flora.

Klabin already has delivered 25 (to be confirmed) respirators with monitors to the ICUs of the region’s health units and was responsible for infrastructure works for opening the Regional Hospital of Telêmaco Borba. Through these initiatives, Klabin has allocated over R$4 million to the State of Paraná to combat the pandemic, with its actions focusing on health and social assistance, especially in the regions where it operates. The Company remains attentive and engaged to combating the pandemic, supporting assistance for people and strengthening its citizenship.
