Klabin makes fresh donations to Correia Pinto

Santa Catarina, March 23, 2021 – Ever since the pandemic broke out, Klabin has taken a wide range of measures to help the country, especially the communities adjacent to its operations. In response to the current critical phase of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company today made a fresh donation to the city of Correia Pinto in Santa Catarina.

Klabin invested around R$ 500,000 to acquire equipment such as ventilators, hospital beds, serum supports, multiparameter monitors, infusion pumps, and coronavirus test kits. The donations were sent to the Faustino Riscarolli Hospital to set up new infirmary beds to treat the disease.

The company has already donated more than R$ 5 million to the state of Santa Catarina, which have been used to acquire hospital equipment, health and hygiene items and hand sanitizer bottles, as well as corrugated packaging and paper bags to help transport food and hygiene kits. The donations have been directed to initiatives in the health and social welfare sector, especially in the regions where the company operates. This week, 10 more ventilators and infusion pumps will be donated to the Infantil Seara do Bem Hospital in Lages, Santa Catarina.
