São Paulo, October 22, 2019 – Klabin ranked first among Pulp and Paper companies in the “Sustainability” category in the 2019 edition of the Época Negócios 360º Yearbook, which conducts an in-depth of the financial performance and management of companies in Brazil.The award is a recognition of the sustainable development initiatives implemented by the company in all the areas where it operates, in accordance with its Sustainability Policy. Aspects such as water, energy, climate change and biodiversity are considered in all operations, reaffirming the commitment to the conservation of natural resources and the control and mitigation of environmental impacts. The company also received special mention in the innovation, corporate governance, people and vision of the future categories, besides receiving the “Silver Seal” for coming second in the overall ranking in the “Pulp and Paper” sector.

In its 9^th edition, the Época Negócios 360º Yearbook obtained technical support from Fundação Dom Cabral, which was responsible for the criteria and processing of questionnaires, and honors the best companies in Brazil based on an analysis of six important aspects: financial performance, corporate governance, innovation, people, sustainability and vision of the future.
