Klabin’s social-educational programs are accepting applications in Telêmaco Borba and Ortigueira

Paraná, January 21, 2019 – Children and teens in OrtigueiraandTelêmaco Borba up to the age of 18 already can register in four social-educational programs organized by Klabin: Singing Girls, Right Step Dance and Right Step Capoeira and Our Digital Language. Classes begin on March 11 and 12.

 

In Telêmaco Borba, the projects will be carried out at the Vera Lafer Cultural Space, in Harmonia. In Ortigueira, classes will be held at the Queimadas Cultural Center and the Senior Citizen Community Center, both located in the city’s central district.

 

Klabin’s social-educational programs contribute to the social topics of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), in alignment with the principles of the Global Compact and the company’s Sustainability Policy.

Telêmaco Borba:
Singing Girls – Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., alternatively from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for girls from 7 to 17 years old.

 

Our Digital Language 1 – Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Our Digital Language 2 – Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:30 p.m. o 4:30 p.m. for youth from 13 to 18 years old.

 

Right Step Dance – Mondays and Wednesdays from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for girls from 12 to 17 years old, and Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. for girls from 9 to 13 years old.

 

Right Step Capoeira – Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for boys from 6 to 17 years old.

 

Ortigueira:
Singing Girls – Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., for girls from 7 to 17 years old.

 

Right Step Dance – Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for girls from 13 to 17 years old.

 

Right Step Capoeira – Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. for boys from 6 to 17 years old.

 

Programs:
OUR DIGITAL LANGUAGE


In partnership with the Jaborandi Institute, Klabin’s Our Digital Language Program, which was implemented at the Monte Alegre Unit in 2009, works to improve the oral and written communication skills of youth from 13 to 18 years old, supported by technology and focusing on topics addressed by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

 

It launched its activities in 2010 in partnership with the Local Education Department of Telêmaco Borba and was expanded to the Puma Unit in 2017 through the Local Education, Culture and Sports Department of the municipal government of Ortigueira, working with students in the fifth grade in municipal public schools.

 

KLABIN’S SINGING GIRLS


Created in 2004 in the Monte Alegre Unit and expanded to the Puma Unit in 2017, Klabin’s Singing Girls is a group formed by the daughters of employees and young girls aged between 7 and 17 from the communities of Telêmaco Borba and Ortigueira. The group practices choir singing, and the girls learn music theory, rhythm and vocal techniques.

 

RIGHT STEP – DANCE AND CAPOEIRA


In partnership with Studio 3 Cia. de Dança – São Paulo, the Klabin Right Step Program, which was created at the Monte Alegre Unit in 2008 and expanded to the Puma Unit in 2017, offers Dance and Capoeira activities to members aged 6 to 17 and also to Klabin employees.
