The company won the Sesi ODS 2024 Trophy and the Paraná Climate Seal
 
Paraná, December 20, 2024 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions in paper packaging, was recognized in two important regional awards.
 
The Company received the Sesi ODS 2024 Trophy in the Social – Large Company category with the Klabin Transforma - Social Forests program. A Klabin initiative implemented in partnership with the Association for the Preservation of Environment and Life (Apremavi) and the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (Sebrae), it helps small and midsized rural producers in all stages of production - from adaptation to environmental laws and support in selling their produce to training, property diversification and encouragement to forming associations and cooperatives.
 
This was the 8th edition of the Sesi ODS Congress, an initiative of the Fiep System, held through Sesi Paraná. The award recognizes the best initiatives of environmental, social and governance impact and sustainable partnerships, totaling 2,000 practices already recognized.
 
The second achievement was the Paraná Climate Seal, developed by the State Department for Sustainable Development (Sedest). Klabin received the highest recognition from the program, in the External Market category, for its social and environmental practices and actions in the region. The initiative acknowledges organizations that voluntarily commit to measuring and reducing their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and adopting practices aligned with ESG principles.
 
As part of the initiative, Klabin disclosed its greenhouse gas inventories along with various social and environmental actions undertaken in the state, thereby increasing its score to qualify for the seal.
