A campaign with videos narrating remarkable moments in the company’s history, such as the construction of Brazil’s first integrated pulp and paper mill in 1946, will be launched
 

São Paulo, April 19, 2023 - Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions in paper packaging, completes this month 124 years of a history replete with milestones that were important both for it and for the development of Brazil. The campaign “Klabin. Making history for 124 years” includes six videos inspired by important moments such as the construction of Brazil’s first integrated pulp and paper mill in 1946, a milestone in fostering industrial development in Brazil.

The milestones shown in the campaign include several important achievements related to the company’s commitment to sustainability, such as its pioneering move to obtain international certification for its forest areas in 1998, making Klabin the first company in the pulp and paper segment in the Southern Hemisphere to have its forests certified. Another chapter covered was its presence in the World Index category of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in 2020, being the only Brazilian company.

Carime Kanbour, Communication, Brand and Reputation manager at Klabin, explains that the campaign will be run on Klabin’s official profiles on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn, as well as on internal channels. “Klabin played an important role in consolidating the industrial sector in Brazil and its history is intertwined with several milestones in the country’s history. To celebrate the date, we have selected a few moments that were key to the evolution of Klabin and positioned it among Brazil’s most important companies. We have profound respect and are very proud of Klabin’s history spanning over hundred years,” she said.
