The recognition endorses the Company’s sustainable development efforts and consolidates its position as a global benchmark in sustainability

São Paulo, December 9, 2022 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions in paper packaging, has just been included - for the third straight year - in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). The Company is part of the World Index portfolio and has once again been included in the index, which is one of the leading global benchmarks in good sustainability practices for listed companies.

Francisco Razzolini, director of Industrial Technology, Innovation, Sustainability and Projects at Klabin, pointed out that the Company’s continuous inclusion in the DJSI attests to the effectiveness of management guided by sustainable development and serves as a stimulus to continue the efforts on this front as a priority. “Commitment to sustainability is part of Klabin’s essence and permeates all of the Company’s businesses and work fronts.  It’s precisely for this reason that we are listed in a global benchmark such as the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, which is an important achievement that proves that our work focused on the best environmental, social and governance practices produces results. Launched in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index uses top-level assessment criteria to measure aspects such as corporate governance, risk management and code of ethics, as well as initiatives to preserve the planet, safeguard human rights and promote social development.
