Klabin hands over prizes to winners of “One Test for All” contest

Paraná, October 19, 2017 – Last week, Klabin handed over prizes to winners of the “One Test for All” contest among state government schools in TelêmacoBorba, Ortigueiraand Imbaú, who participated in the Klabin Sowing Education project. The contest was organized to promote Prova Brasil, one of the tools used by Brazil’s Ministry of Education to evaluate public education in the country. The contest required the creation of advertisements to encourage students to take the exam, which will be held all over Brazil next week.

Besides encouraging students to take the test, the contest also mobilized teachers, academics and heads of 31 educational institutions, impacting more than 10,000 students in the region.

Prova Brasil 2017 will be held between October 23 and November 3 to assess the knowledge of Primary and High School students in Brazil’s public schools in mathematics and Portuguese. The performance of schools in the assessment is one of the elements making up the Basic Educational Development Index (Ideb). Based on this index, the Educational departments, the Ministry of Education and the institutions define actions and allocate resources to improve learning.
