Tibagi hosts the “Klabin in the Community” fair on November 18
Tibagi, November 16, 2017 – Next Saturday (November 18), Tibagi will host the first edition of the “Klabin in the Community” social and environmental fair. The event is open to the public and will be held at Praça Edmundo Mercer Junior, in front of the City Hall, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The agenda includes a variety of social and environmental activities, tips on agriculture, environmental practices and the importance of forests in the region, as well as health and citizenship services provided by the local government. The mobile fair will next visit Curiúva, Reserva and Imbaú, cities adjacent to the company’s forestry and industrial operations in Paraná.
“This is the first social and environmental fair held by Klabin in Tibagi, an important city for our forestry activities. This is an opportunity for us to get to know the community better and for the community to get to know Klabin’s work and actions in the region,” said Uilson Paiva, Klabin’s Community Relations manager.
During the day, fun and interactive activities on traffic safety will be organized, in additional to environmental workshops to emphasize the importance of waste separation and recycling. Farmers and agricultural producers will have a special area with information and tips on Klabin’s Forest Development Program, with the participation and support of the company’s Forestry Unit team.
Saturday will also be filled with fun for children, who can enjoy the “Playing Area,” with toys and school chairs made from Klabin’s corrugated board, as well as popcorn and cotton candy carts.
