São Paulo, May 14, 2020 – Klabin’s Information Technology area, the largest producer and exporter of packaging paper in Brazil, developed during the coronavirus pandemic an application that brings employees and medical teams closer to their operations and offers speed to calls. The initiative has proved to be an important ally in preventing and combating COVID-19 in the Company’s manufacturing units and, therefore, the professionals involved in the project decided to make the application’s code package available on an online developer platform.

Named “Klabin Saúde”, the tool has three main functionalities: Self-Assessment Application, which allows employees to analyze their health status through responses; Medicine Panel, a platform for the Occupational Medicine team, which allows viewing all assessments and managing the health of employees; and Tax Application, used at the entrance to factories to read badges and record temperature and possible symptoms of COVID-19.

Through the package made available by Klabin on the GitHub website, any company will be able to use the information for its own implementation of the application. Development time is estimated to be less than a day. Klabin will also make it easier for interested parties to contact their internal technical team to exchange experiences and clarify doubts. The Company understands that this is a time for joining efforts and knows that each attitude counts.
