Klabin is among the best employers in Brazil
São Paulo, February 14, 2017 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest paper producer and exporter, and the leader in the packaging, corrugated board and industrial bags segments, has, for the third time in a row, won the Top Employers Brazil certification, which annually recognizes companies investing in human resources and people management initiatives. To grant the seal, the Top Employers Institute evaluates, through an audited survey, the best human resources practices in each company. The criteria analyzed include strategy, implementation of policies, and monitoring and communication of career and development conditions.
Solid results in these factors brought Klabin this recognition, since the company constantly implements practices that stimulate the role of its employees as the protagonists of their own careers. “We promote constructive dialogue among leaders, employees and teams, which allow professionals to be heard, understand the value of their work, pursue positive results and, especially, feel part of them. We recognize leaders who encourage such practices and build high-performance teams,” says Sergio Piza, Chief People & Management Officer. Caring for employees is also among the priorities of the company, which creates around 16,000 new jobs (direct and indirect) and invests in promoting the safety and well-being of its employees.
Established in 1991, the Top Employers Institute conducts an online survey of HR Best Practices in which organizations with at least 20 employees (in Brazil), or 2,500 (internationally), and which demonstrate the highest standards of excellence in people management, participate. After the survey is concluded, validated and audited, the team identifies companies that met the standards required to obtain the seal. The Institute has been conducting this survey for over 25 years and has so far honored companies in 116 countries.
