São Paulo, May 12, 2020 – Klabin was once again elected by the Monitor Empresarial de Reputação Corporativa (Merco) as the best reputed company in Brazil’s Wood, Pulp and Paper sector. Since the ranking was launched in 2013, the Company, the biggest producer and exporter of packaging paper in Brazil, has led the segment. Klabin is also among the 100 best reputed companies in the Brazilian market, ranking 74^th.

The survey, audited by KPMG, involved more than 4,000 interviews with representatives from diverse sectors in Brazil. To compile the result, which is based on 2019 data, around 370 members of top management, 500 market specialists and more than 3,000 consumers were interviewed.

The consolidated ranking published by Merco is one of the benchmarks for measuring reputation. Launched 19 years ago with a novel assessment methodology, it is currently used and announced in 12 countries: Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Costa Rica, Panama and Portugal.
