Klabin’s Puma Unit will shut down for maintenance between July 1 and 16
Paraná, June 11, 2019 – Klabin’s Puma Unit will shut down for equipment preventive maintenance from July 1st, ensuring safety and operational continuity of the plant. Over six thousand maintenance orders will be performed during the 16 days.
The Maintenance Shutdown is compulsory for companies working with pressure vessel machinery, such as boilers and digesters, under Regulatory Standard NR13. To perform the activities within the deadline, a large number of employees who work exclusively in the pulp & paper industry is required.
To carry out these services within the scheduled period, about 4.5 thousand employees from partner companies will be engaged. “This year, several preventive maintenance activities will be held at the unit, seeking our operating efficiency. To this end, we will count on specialized teams that will work to have everything completed by the scheduled date”, explains maintenance manager of the Puma Unit, Leandro de Almeida Laube.
