Klabin publishes 2020 Sustainability Report

São Paulo, June 8, 2021 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of paper for packaging and paper packaging, has published its 2020 Sustainability Report. The report was based on the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards and details the Company’s management and performance in 2020, as well as its key Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) commitments. The report is assured by external consultants, which guarantees the integrity of information.

Starting this year, the ESG Dashboard contains the key ESG indicators in a single platform, which facilitates reading based on content or a specific search, increasing the Company’s transparency in its ESG report. In addition, readers can monitor the status of the Klabin 2030 Agenda through the progress made on Klabin’s Sustainable Development Goals (KODS), as well as the Company’s policies and certifications. The platform was structured in four pillars, which bring information on four different areas: Construction of a renewable future, Contribution to a sustainable economy, Prosperity for people and Technology and innovation.

“The year 2020 was highly challenging. More than ever, we saw the importance of working to build a sustainable future, based on responsible growth and on continuous progress on ESG aspects. To reinforce our transparency in reporting information, we created the ESG Dashboard, an important tool to analyze our indicators and performance,” said Francisco Razzolini, director of Industrial Technology, Innovation, Sustainability and Projects at Klabin.

In addition to the Dashboard, this year’s edition also features ESG Highlights - milestones reached by Klabin in 2020 and priority information for its stakeholders, in summary form to enable quick and dynamic reading.
