Klabin supports Endeavor Brasil in a development program for entrepreneurs
São Paulo, September 6, 2017 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper, the only company in the country to offer solutions in hardwood, softwood and fluff pulp, and the leader in corrugated board packaging and industrial bag markets, has entered into a partnership with Endeavor, a global not-for-profit entrepreneur development organization, to conduct Scale Up Indústria, a program that provides support to companies offering solutions in efficiency and the transformation of industrial chains with high impact potential. The program, to be launched in October, is also sponsored by DHL Supply Chain and supported by the Brazilian Packaging Association (ABRE).
The seven-month long Scale Up Indústria program is divided into stages. In the first stage, a diagnosis is made to define the main challenge facing the growth of the business. After that, the entrepreneur will be connected to a network of leading entrepreneurs and specialists, called mentors, who support the cause of Endeavor. Each company will be routed to a mentor who has the expertise to help it with the issues identified. This mentor will follow the business from October 2017 to March 2018, which is the acceleration period of the program.Collective mentoring and exclusive events will be held for those selected, to address the common challenges and promote the connection of this network of entrepreneurs.
Klabin’s participation in the program underscores its commitment to innovation, technology and economic development of Brazil, since this initiative contributes directly to the development of companies that wish to be given a boost.Between 10 and 20 startups will be selected from those that registered for the program, based on criteria established by Endeavor regarding the business profile.Last year, more than 200 companies received support from Endeavor programs, creating more than 10,000 jobs and totaling revenues of around R$1.5 billion.
