Solution won the bronze award at the event organized by the European Federation of the paper bags industry 
 

São Paulo, May 22, 2023 - Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of paper for packaging and sustainable solutions in paper packaging, made history at the Eurosac Grand Prix this year as the only non-European company in the running. The Company won the bronze award for its product EcoLayer. The event was held on May 5 in Verona, Italy, during the Eurosac Congress. 
 
EcoLayer was recognized as one of the innovations that most add value for clients. Launched in 2021, EcoLayer was developed by Klabin’s research and development, commercial and product development management teams. Targeted at the construction and fertilizer segments, the sackraft package is innovative and sustainable. In case of the fertilizer market, the solution has a double resin barrier, which eliminates the use of plastic in its composition, offering resistant and recyclable packaging. The new barrier increases the useful life of the packaged product by preserving its characteristics and quality. Being recyclable, it significantly reduces waste generation and contributes to the circular economy. 
 
Eurosac Grand Prix’s chief criterion was the generation of value for industry in terms of sustainable developments, bio-barriers and special features.
