Forestry Operations Technical School opens registration for new classes

Paraná, November 3, 2020 – The Center for Forestry and Agriculture Professional Educational of Ortigueira has opened registration for new students through Friday, November 20. Interested students should complete the form online and attach the required documents using this link. The school offers three programs that that will begin in 2021 with classes of 35 students each.

 

Those without easy access to the Internet can go to the technical school, wearing a mask, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.,  Monday to Friday. In addition their photo ID (RG) and tax ID card (CPF), it is important that students also bring their school transcript, since candidates are accepted based on an evaluation of their past academic performance; no tests will be administered. Public school students receive extra points compared to students from private schools, except in the case of students who attended private schools on scholarships, which also must be substantiated by documentation.

 

The school offers three programs: Forestry Operations Technician, Heavy Machinery Maintenance Technician and Agribusiness Technician. The first two are offered under a subsequent model (high school graduates taking only the technical program), while the Agribusiness Technician program is administered under an integral format (simultaneously with high school).

About the State Center for Technical Training in Forestry & Agriculture of Ortigueira

 

Inaugurated in 2020, the State Center for Forestry and Agriculture Professional Educational of Ortigueira has facilities that include rooms, bathrooms, classrooms, industrial kitchen, cafeteria, multi-sports court and recreational area. When developing the project, representatives from the Paraná State Education Department, the Telêmaco Borba Regional Education Center, the Municipal Government of Ortigueira and Klabin visited similar schools that are references in Finland and Sweden in Scandinavia, which are world references in the pulp and paper industry.
