Arbor Day
To celebrate Arbor Day, Klabin has decided to pay homage to them. “As Árvores que nos Tocam” (The Trees that Touch Us) is a heartwarming musical production that uses technology to connect the environment to music. It starts off with a new melody performed by the Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra at Klabin’s forests in Telêmaco Borba, Paraná, and the MASP Klabin Auditorium in São Paulo.
Watch the video:
Musical producer Arthur Joly and orchestral composer Silvinho Erné participated in producing the musical. Joly created an electronic synthesizer exclusively for the campaign and, together with Silvinho during a visit to Klabin's forest reserve in Paraná, captured the sound of the swaying trees using this technology. Back in the studio, they added the forms and shapes of the forest seen from above to create a new and unique musical, which was performed by the Heliópolis Symphony Orchestra, an initiative supported by Klabin. The film mixes scenes from the Orchestra's performance at the MASP auditorium with images of musicians performing the same number directly from Klabin’s forests to produce a fascinating tribute to trees.
The poetic and impactful film aims to raise awareness among people in an innovative manner, as if the forests are sending a message that translates - through music and art – all the beauty of nature, which needs and must be conserved.
