Activities will resume following scheduled maintenance that began on January 26

Paraná, February 4, 2025 - Klabin has started the process of resuming operations at the Monte Alegre Unit, after the General Shutdown period that began on January 26. With the completion of maintenance, scheduled for Friday (6), the Company will gradually begin the process of demobilizing the teams contracted for the Shutdown.

Due to the restart of the mill, characteristic noise and odor may be noticed in the vicinity of the Unit. Klabin emphasizes that all maintenance and restart procedures are carried out in accordance with safety standards. These activities do not pose any risk to people's health or to the environment.

The General Shutdown is a procedure mandated by Regulatory Standards, intended for the maintenance of mill machinery and equipment, with the goal of achieving operational excellence and ensuring the safety of employees and the community. In addition to maintenance, the General Shutdown allows the Unit to implement ongoing improvements, such as technological upgrades, always aiming to enhance productivity and operational safety.
