Paraná, November 24, 2025 - The partnership between Klabin and Senai has been shaping Paraná's development for decades, with a strong emphasis on training professionals for the pulp and paper industry. The technical training program, launched in 1962, has graduated over 200,000 students, many of whom have gone on to build long-term careers with the Company.

The collaboration between the institutions includes offering courses tailored to the sector's needs, with an emphasis on developing a skilled workforce that is in line with ongoing industrial changes. This initiative has been crucial in addressing Klabin’s expansion needs and in increasing employment opportunities in municipalities like Telêmaco Borba and Ortigueira, where the company focuses its strategic operations.

In 2025, the partnership reached a symbolic milestone: 11 employees who graduated together in 1999 from the Technical Course in Pulp and Paper have completed 25 years of service at Klabin. This remarkable milestone was celebrated at a recognition event organized by the company, which annually honors professionals who have reached this significant tenure.

According to Luciana Nadai, Klabin’s People & Management Manager, the career paths of these employees demonstrate the significance of collaborating with Senai. This milestone becomes even more meaningful when we consider that Klabin has a 126-year history, and the commitment of these employees represents one-fifth of that journey. Remarkable journeys like theirs are fundamental to the Company's growth and evolution, demonstrating how their stories are intertwined with the company's own history."

Among those honored is Cláudio Adão Felício, Operational Planning Supervisor at the Monte Alegre Unit in Telêmaco Borba, Paraná. He shares that his father worked at Klabin from 1971 to 1996, which sparked in him the desire to also work for the company. "I was born in the village of Monte Alegre, and ever since I was a child, it was my dream to work at the mill. That was what motivated me to enroll in the Senai Technical Course in Pulp and Paper in 1998," he says.

He didn’t know it yet, but he would soon meet the colleagues with whom he would share the celebration at Klabin, 25 years later. After completing the course, we began an internship at the mill, still in 1999. A short time later, we were promoted and officially began our journey," says Claudio.

Now a supervisor, Claudio began his career operating Paper Machine 6, which at the time still produced newsprint and the paper used for telephone directories. “I was able to witness and participate in the transformation of the mill, especially with the move to build Paper Machine 9, which was a major milestone in Klabin’s history," he emphasizes. The employee also hopes that the family's legacy within the Company will continue—his son, who is currently studying engineering, has expressed a desire to join the Company as well.

"Senai's journey in Telêmaco Borba highlights the power of vocational education as a driving force for local development. Since 1962, we have trained approximately 200,000 students at the unit, playing a key role in developing the workforce and strengthening the region's industrial sector. Long-standing partnerships, like the one we maintain with Klabin, demonstrate how excellent technical training transforms lives and drives sustainable growth for both communities and businesses in Paraná," says Ernesto Sountachi Junior, professional education manager at Senai in Campos Gerais.
