Klabin tops the innovation ranking in Brazil's South region
The company secures the first place in the overall ranking of the Innovation Champions survey and reinforces its innovative culture aligned with the ESG agenda

São Paulo, July 28, 2025 – Klabin, Brazil's largest producer and exporter of paper for packaging and sustainable paper packaging solutions, has been recognized as the most innovative company in the South region of the country, securing first place in the overall ranking of the 2025 Innovation Champions survey, organized by Grupo AMANHÃ. The initiative assesses the maturity level of innovation management within organizations.
In addition to receiving general recognition, Klabin ranked first in the categories of Resources (which measures investments and synergies focused on innovation) and Organization (which evaluates innovative management structures and tools). The company also achieved second place in the categories of Strategies (for the integration of innovation with business direction) and Processes (related to the generation and development of ideas).
With 126 years of history, Klabin upholds innovation as a strategic pillar, integrating R&D efforts with sustainability and competitiveness in the pulp and paper industry. In 2024, the Company invested R$50 million in research, development and innovation projects, focusing on process improvements, new materials, energy sources, and patent maintenance.
The company also maintains a strong open innovation ecosystem, collaborating with universities, startups and research centers, alongside internal initiatives like "Plant Your Idea," which motivates employees to suggest solutions for operational challenges. All these initiatives are aligned with Klabin's Sustainable Development Goals (KODS) and reinforce the company's commitment to medium- and long-term ESG practices.
