Klabin and municipal government of Tibagi distribute bags for disposal of recyclable waste
Initiative aims to promote environmental awareness and enhance the identification of materials during selective collection
Paraná, May 27, 2025 - In May, Klabin has donated 5,000 bags for the disposal of recyclable waste to the municipality of Tibagi, in Paraná. The distribution of bags, carried out in partnership with the municipal government through the Municipal Environmental Office, took place on May 17 at Ed. Mercer square, in the heart of the city. The initiative, which is part of the Klabin Transforms Circular Territory program, aims to raise community awareness about the importance of properly sorting recyclable materials and ensuring their appropriate disposal.
The bags are made from reusable materials and provided by Klabin. In total, six municipalities in Paraná have already received the bags to store recyclable waste, facilitating identification by workers involved in selective collection.
"Responsible waste disposal is essential for environmental protection. Additionally, when we properly separate our waste, we contribute significantly to the circular economy, preserving natural resources and ensuring that materials can be reused. This is a responsibility we all share as citizens. As a company, we recognize our potential to inspire and engage the community, which is why we organize initiatives like this both within and beyond Klabin,” said Uilson Paiva, manager in charge of the project at Klabin.
