Klabin participates in the Biennial Waste Expo 2025

The company offers an interactive experience centered on planted forests, encouraging participants to reflect on building a more sustainable future

São Paulo, May 19, 2025 – From May 21 to 25, Klabin will participate in the Biennial Waste Expo, a free event that merges art, education and sustainability at Villa-Lobos Park in São Paulo. During the event, the Company will present the interactive experience “From Forest to Future,” featuring educational activities about planted forests and showcasing a selection of its pulp, paper and paper packaging solutions.

The activation unfolds in three steps. The first step invites visitors to participate in the interactive quiz “Are you familiar with planted forests?,” assessing their knowledge of cultivated forests and responsible forest stewardship. Then, Klabin will showcase its pulp, paper and packaging solutions, featuring products derived from these materials that are part of everyday life. Finally, participants are invited to interact with the “Circular Commitment – The Step That Makes a Difference” panel, an installation offering various messages, where visitors can choose the statement that best reflects their values and contribute by adding their signature.

As part of the event's official program, on May 21, from 2:20 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., Klabin’s Regional Packaging Manager, Alvim Jorge, will join the panel discussion "Advances in the Circular Economy in Brazil." Admission is free, but reservations are required through Sympla. Participants visiting the panel discussions and workshops at the Biennial Waste Expo will have the opportunity to use KlaCup® Bio, Klabin's cups made from paper. In addition to being recyclable, these cups are also biodegradable, as the barrier that makes them waterproof is derived from renewable sources, meaning they contain no plastic in their composition.

Klabin has supported the Biennial Waste Expo since its first edition in 2022, recognizing the importance of initiatives that foster discussions on conscientious consumption and disseminate knowledge about the circular economy. The Company is committed to exploring the best recycling alternatives and reintegrating materials into the production chain. Klabin values the event’s mission to engage and educate the public on circularity in an interactive and informative manner, while also highlighting the positive impact that renewable and recyclable products have on people’s daily lives.
