Klabin is honored at the 1st edition of Atitude Cidadã 2025

This recognition reflects the company's efforts in Itajaí (SC), highlighting its commitment to developing a zero-waste community

Santa Catarina, May 19, 2025 - Klabin was honored at the 1st edition of Atitude Cidadã 2025, an event held at Casa da Cultura Municipal, in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, by Coletivo Itajaí Lixo Zero. This event celebrates people and institutions dedicated to fostering a more sustainable urban environment. The ceremony honored 35 individuals and institutions for their contributions in 2024 towards making the city cleaner and more sustainable.
 
Klabin was recognized for its strong commitment to sustainable practices, environmental education and community engagement, particularly in the area of waste management and recycling in Itajaí, where Klabin operates a corrugated cardboard packaging mill.
 
“This recognition confirms that we are on the right path in our sustainable development journey, guided by Klabin’s Sustainable Development Goals (KODS), which shape the company’s agenda through 2030. Our initiatives are designed to enhance the region’s social and environmental well-being by fostering integration between the environment and the local community,” said Pedro Paulo da Luz, Industrial Manager at Klabin.
 
By integrating sustainable practices into its industrial operations and socio-environmental projects, Klabin demonstrates its commitment to preserving resources, raising environmental awareness and promoting circular economy principles.
