São Paulo, February 24, 2025 – Klabin, Brazil's largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions, was awarded in two categories at the 2025 EMBANEWS Award, one of the most prestigious honors in the sector in the country. The recognition highlights the Company's ongoing pursuit of increased innovation, technology, and sustainability in its value chain.
 
In the category of Raw Materials or Inputs for Packaging, under the subcategory of Inputs for Packaging Production, Klabin was awarded for the Slip Sheet, an innovative alternative to traditional pallets. Made from kraft paper sourced from 100% planted and certified forests, the solution optimizes logistics processes, eliminating the need for both storage space and phytosanitary treatment. With high tensile strength and the possibility of customization, the product allows for storing up to 1,300 units in the space of just 10 conventional pallets, reducing costs and environmental impacts.
 
In the Sustainability category, under the subcategory of Sustainable Processes for Recyclability of Materials, for Selective Waste Collection, and for Recycling, Klabin received an award for the Wicket Paper Bag. Developed in partnership with Optima and Soulpack, the solution replaces plastic packaging for disposable diapers with 100% recyclable and repulpable paper.
 
Among the main distinguishing features of the Wicket Paper Bag is its compatibility with packaging machines already existing in the market, eliminating the need for new investments in equipment and ensuring greater operational efficiency. In addition to reinforcing Klabin's commitment to sustainability, the solution is aligned with global trends in innovation and environmental responsibility.
 
With these achievements, Klabin reaffirms its leadership position in the development of sustainable packaging, enhancing operational efficiency and fostering a positive impact throughout the entire production chain.
