The company has been recognized for the fifth consecutive year in the index, establishing itself as a benchmark in ESG practices within the Containers and Packaging sector

São Paulo, December 16, 2024 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest producer and exporter of packaging paper and sustainable solutions in paper packaging, has remained a component, for the fifth straight year, of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). Scoring 88 out of 100, the Company improved by four points compared to the previous year, achieving its highest score ever and consolidating its leadership among companies in the Containers and Packaging sector. The announcement was made by S&P Global on December 16.

 In addition to maintaining its position in the Global Index portfolio, Klabin has been included in the Emerging Markets portfolio, further enhancing its international reputation as a model of sustainability and transparency. Klabin's permanence in the DJSI reflects the Company's commitment to leveraging sustainable initiatives and acts as an incentive to sustain ongoing efforts in this area.

 Created in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Index is one of the most renowned tools for evaluating corporate sustainability, with rigorous criteria that cover corporate governance, risk management, ethics, environmental initiatives, protection of human rights and advancement of social development.
