In addition to the progress of our team's and all Brazilians' vaccination against Covid-19, we have other reasons to celebrate. We closed the second quarter with a 38% growth in our net revenue compared to the same period in 2020.

Our tireless work at the beginning of 2021, without lowering our guard and maintaining strict COVID-19 prevention protocols, is reflected in our financial results for the first quarter of the year: our net revenue and EBITDA grew compared to the same period last year – 34% and 22%, respectively.

Challenging times require even more resilience, and it was with the engagement of our team and our partners that we were able to achieve excellent results in 2020. Our sales volume, net revenue, and EBITDA grew. This shows that our operations remained strong to serve our customers, especially ensuring the supply of essential items across the country, which was critical during this pandemic period. Our agility and innovative strategies led us to historical records, and we began 2021 with great determination, continuing our care and responsibility for people and the environment.

We launched the Klabin Sustainability Development Goals (KODS), a set of targets aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda.

We are proud of our latest achievement: Klabin is now part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index.

We are approaching the end of 2020, and what a story to tell! The third quarter of this year was marked by growth in sales volume across all our businesses, with a 14% higher result compared to the same quarter last year. We also grew in net revenue, and our EBITDA was 59% higher in this quarter than in the third quarter of 2019 (excluding non-recurring effects). All of this while always acting in a sustainable, responsible, and transparent manner.

Half of 2020 has already passed, and what a challenge it has been! We have been prudent and agile in decision-making, and as a result of these efforts, our EBITDA reached the best result in Klabin's history: R$ 1.333 billion. In addition, our total sales volume also grew, mainly driven by the increased demand for essential items. We continue to innovate, take care of our team, act sustainably, and take all the necessary precautions required by the moment.

Our resilience and positioning ensured that 2020 started well, despite the challenging times we are facing. As part of the results for this first quarter of 2020 (1Q20), we invested R$ 330 million in the acquisition of International Paper's packaging business in Brazil, and our EBITDA exceeded 1 billion reais, a 2% increase compared to the same period last year.

Discover Klabin's Nature Interpretation Center, located in Santa Catarina, within the Serra da Farofa complex. The facility is situated in a priority conservation area at 1,700 meters above sea level, equipped with accommodations to host up to 40 visitors simultaneously, including dormitories, a dining hall, and an auditorium, which can also be used as a classroom.
