Ortigueira Technical School holds new graduation ceremony and nears 500 qualified professionals

With 78 new graduates, the institution celebrates its 9th graduation ceremony since it began operations in 2020, reaffirming its commitment to professional development in the region


The students completed technical programs in Agribusiness, Heavy Machinery Maintenance, and Forest Machinery Operation

Ortigueira, January 12, 2026 – The State Forestry and Agriculture Vocational Training Center of Ortigueira (CEEP) held, in December 2025, the graduation ceremony for 78 students from the technical programs in Agribusiness, Heavy Machinery Maintenance, and Forest Machinery Operation. The ceremony took place at the Technical School facilities, organized by the State Government of Paraná and Klabin, with support from the Ortigueira Municipal Government. The event brought together students, their families, and company representatives.

With the new group, the institution is nearing the milestone of 500 professionals graduated since it began its activities in 2020. By the first half of 2025, the school had graduated more than 420 students over its five years of operation. Over half of this total have already been employed by Klabin and other companies in the region, highlighting the school's important role in training qualified professionals and increasing opportunities in the local job market.

"This was the 9th graduation ceremony of CEEP, representing its history, continuity, and commitment to technical excellence. More than just numbers, this result represents a real impact on people's lives, offering qualified training and concrete prospects for entering the workforce,” says Eduardo Kremer, Forest Maintenance Manager at Klabin, coordinator of the technical program in Forest Machinery Maintenance, and patron of the ceremony.

About the State Forestry and Agriculture Vocational Training Center of Ortigueira

Inaugurated in 2020 and inspired by model schools in Sweden and Finland, the State Forestry and Agriculture Vocational Training Center of Ortigueira aims to become a leading institution in the training of forestry operators and mechanics.

The school features classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, simulators, a library, an industrial kitchen, a cafeteria, a multi-sports court, and common areas, as well as dormitories for students enrolled in full-time programs. Physical maintenance, as well as pedagogical and operational support, are carried out using resources from the State and Klabin.
