The unit, located in Telêmaco Borba, resumes operations after maintenance

Paraná, October 16, 2024 - Klabin has started the procedures for the resumption of the Monte Alegre Unit, in Telêmaco Borba, after the Maintenance Shutdown period that began on October 7. With the end of maintenance, scheduled for Thursday (17), the process of demobilization of the teams hired for the Shutdown gradually begins.

 

Due to the restart of the mill, characteristic noise and odor may be noticed in the vicinity of the unit. Klabin reinforces that all maintenance and return procedures are conducted in accordance with safety standards. These activities do not pose any risk to people's health or to the environment.

 

The Maintenance Shutdown is a period provided for by the Brazilian legislation, is intended for maintenance on machines and equipment of the mill, to ensure their perfect operation and guarantee the safety of employees and the community.

 

In addition to maintenance, the shutdown enables the unit to make improvements, such as technological upgrades, always with the purpose of improving productivity and operational safety by adopting market best practices.
