Klabin trains teachers and school managers on water security
The 30th edition of the Klabin Caiubi program brought together participants from 10 municipalities in Paraná to address water care issues
Paraná, September 11, 2024 - The Klabin Caiubi Program, dedicated to the dissemination environmental education contents for teachers, conducted another training session for municipal school professionals from ten municipalities in Paraná. With the aim of raising awareness of the importance of water security, the training sessions brought together 185 teachers over four days at the Klabin Ecological Park (PEK), in Telêmaco Borba, and 32 teachers in Paranaguá.
The training session was attended by educational professionals from schools of Curiúva, Ortigueira, Imbaú, Reserva, Sapopema, Paranaguá, Tamarana, Telêmaco Borba, Ventania and Pitanga. During the meeting, the participants were encouraged to reflect on topics related to sanitation and water and sewage treatment, as well as how these processes are essential to ensure the water security of the communities.
In the municipalities of Campos Gerais, the training was divided in two phases: in the morning, the Intermunicipal Consortium for Environmental Protection of the Tibagi River (Copati) conducted activities on the National Sanitation Policy, addressing the challenges and responsibilities of basic sanitation in Brazil, with a specific analysis of the Paraná state. In the afternoon, Sanepar held discussions on water and sewage treatment processes, highlighting the importance of water quality and the correct disposal of domestic sewage.
"These actions are key for educators to become multipliers of knowledge, bringing to the classrooms discussions that are crucial for the sustainable development of the communities where they teach," said Júlio Nogueira, Corporate Manager of Sustainability and Environment at Klabin.
