This is the second time the consulting firm recognizes the executive for his performance leading Klabin

São Paulo, August 13, 2024 – Cristiano Teixeira, CEO of Klabin, Brazil's largest producer and exporter of paper for packaging and sustainable packaging solutions, was named CEO of the Year in Latin America by Fastmarkets RISI, the leading provider of insight to the global forest products industry. The award was presented today in São Paulo, during the 19th Forest Products Latin America Conference, promoted by Fastmarkets.

Teixeira was selected by financial analysts covering the Latin American pulp and paper industry for his achievements as CEO of Klabin in 2023, such as: the completion of the Puma II Project; the construction of a cutting-edge corrugated board mill in Piracicaba (SP), the Figueira Project; and the forest expansion announced through the acquisition of Arauco assets, completed in July 2024. 
With a career spanning over 30 years, Teixeira has solid experience in the sector.

Since joining Klabin in 2011, he has led the Supply Chain area and the Corrugated Board, Industrial Sacks, Sackraft Paper and Containerboard divisions. Appointed Klabin CEO in 2017, since then he has led important transformations that have driven and accelerated the Company’s growth. Teixeira had been recognized as CEO of the Year in Latin America by Fastmarkets RISI in 2021, and achieved twice the global position of "International CEO of the Year," considered the top award in the pulp and paper industry worldwide, in 2021 and 2023.
