Klabin stands out among the Top 1% most sustainable companies, according to The Sustainability Yearbook 2025
For five straight years, the Company has advanced in the S&P Global yearbook ranking, becoming the only Brazilian company among the Top 1%.
São Paulo, April 22, 2025– Klabin, the largest producer and exporter of paper for packaging and sustainable paper packaging solutions in Brazil, has been recognized as one of the most sustainable companies, being listed among the Top 1% in The Sustainability Yearbook 2025. This global publication by S&P Global is based on the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA). Klabin is the only Brazilian company to achieve a position in the most exclusive group of the ranking.
With 88 points in this year's assessment — four more than in 2024 when it ranked among the Top 5% — Klabin solidifies its consistent trajectory of progress in sustainability. This is the fifth straight time that the company has been featured in the yearbook, which evaluates the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance of companies across various sectors globally.
In the 2025 edition, S&P Global evaluated more than 7,000 companies from 62 different sectors. Of these, only 780 were chosen for the yearbook, with 24 being Brazilian, categorized into the Top 10%, Top 5%, and Top 1%. Klabin was the only one in the country to achieve the highest rating.
The recognition ceremony was held in April during the Panorama Forum on Energy Transition and Climate Risk in São Paulo. Representing Klabin, Gabriela Woge, the Director of Corporate Finance, and Aline Yukari Tozaki, the Sustainability Governance Coordinator, were in attendance. The S&P Global CSA assessment is also used to compose the Dow Jones Best-in-class Indices, one of the most relevant ESG performance indicators in the global financial market, in which Klabin leads in the Containers and Packaging category.
