Klabin organizes awareness campaigns during National Traffic Safety Week

The campaign will be organized in the company’s units in Telêmaco Borba (Paraná), Jundiaí (São Paulo), Betim (Minas Gerais) and Goiana (Pernambuco) to raise awareness among employees on driving etiquette, defensive driving and safety in traffic

São Paulo, September 22, 2016 – Klabin, Brazil’s largest paper producer and exporter and the leading manufacturer of corrugated board packaging and industrial bags, in partnership with the Commission of Safety of Outsourced Companies (COMSECON), will conduct until September 23, the “We are one for all, all for one” campaign that includes diverse initiatives to celebrate the National Traffic Safety Week, from September 18 to 25. The campaign will be organized in the company’s units in Telêmaco Borba (Paraná), Jundiaí (São Paulo), Betim (Minas Gerais) and Goiana (Pernambuco) to raise awareness among employees on driving etiquette, defensive driving and safety in traffic.

At the Telêmaco Borba unit, for example, the company will organize initiatives that include raising awareness among its own and third-party employees, educational checkpoints for drivers of its fleet, support for the World Car-Free Day and distribution of educational materials to employees. Leaflets deal with etiquette and respect in traffic and provide tips for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and even heavy equipment operators.

Klabin believes that safe traffic depends on each one of us and invites all employees and citizens to put these precautions into practice.
