Klabin helps Paraná cities disinfect public roads with sodium hypochlorite
Paraná, 16 june, 2020 —Last weekend, Klabin joined hands with the municipal governments of Ortigueira, Curiúva, Reserva and Sapopema to disinfect the streets and public areas in these four cities using 5,000 liters of the sodium hypochlorite solution.
As per the recommendations of Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA), when diluted in water in the correct proportion, this product plays an important role in cleaning and disinfecting external environments. This measure has been another barrier to the spread of the new coronavirus and is aimed at increasing the safety of communities and the population that needs to move around.
“Implementing social responsibility actions in the communities where we operate is a written commitment in our Sustainability Policy and which, in the current pandemic scenario, deserves further impetus on our part”, says Uilson Paiva, Social Responsibility and Community Relations Manager at Klabin.
